Field Service System Engineer

Qualifications or Skills Required: This “Road Warrior” will be on the road 70% of the time. Both domestic and international travel is required. The ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams through to the component level is required. The applicant must be a self starter and able to work with minimal supervision in an isolated environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. A Customer Service Attitude is a must Computer skills to include: Microsoft Word, M2M, and Excel. Familiarity with DigitalMicrograph® is desirable. Outstanding organizational skills are a must.
Responsibilities: The Field Service System Engineer is responsible for:
- On-site installation and repair of Gatan specimen prep, imaging and analytical systems.
- Customer site installation and service support for Gatan products is required.
- The engineer must insure installed and repaired systems meet operating specifications.
- Document service performed
- Propose design enhancements and improvements to existing design.
- Associates Degree in Electronics
- 1-3yrs experience
- Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams
